We are raising money to support one of our regular quizzers, Andy!

Here is what has happened:
“Andy Sale needs urgent treatment and care!
As some of you may know, Andy & Denise moved to Spain in July. All was well until Andy suddenly became ill in the beginning of December, what was initially thought to be Leukemia now turns out to be a type of Lymphatic Cancer.
Andy was due to have an operation for a biopsy on a lymph node to get a proper diagnosis on Monday 1st of February but that had to be cancelled as their insurance company have now decided they will not pay out for the previous surgeries and tests in December as well as the diagnostic surgery and treatment.
Andy & Denise simply cannot afford to pay for the surgery nor the treatment. They are currently sitting on a hospital bill of £10,000, diagnostic surgery will cost approximately £2,800 and bone marrow tests of an unknown amount.
We are raising money to help get Andy a proper diagnosis so they can attempt to find a treatment for him.
As a Fireman, Andy has given 30 years of his life saving the lives of others with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service but now he needs our help to save his.
All raised funds will go towards treatment for Andy and a donation to Lymphoma Action will be made, which is a Lymphoma Cancer Charity.”
